Christmas tree - live or artificial?
Christmas is a family time during which we celebrate spending time together with loved ones, celebrating the birth of Jesus. During this magical time, there are many things we can't do without, such as spice cakes, gingerbread, Christmas decorations and carol singing together. We associate Christmas with warmth, cooking a certain number of dishes together and, of course, eating them together on Christmas Eve as well as on Christmas Day. What the younger members of the family look forward to most of all is the big night after the first star appears in the sky on Christmas Day. We are, of course, talking about a whole host of presents. With these items, a certain plant is closely associated, which is one of the most characteristic elements of Christmas. The Christmas tree!
The Christmas tree and tradition
It is this inconspicuous tree that quite often starts the whole Christmas commotion. According to tradition, the tree should be dressed with decorative chains, baubles and a star on the morning of Christmas Eve. However, impatient Christmas fans often decide to get down to this exciting event a bit earlier (even by a few weeks). It's no wonder, then, that this plant has become known as the Christmas tree. When you hear the word 'Christmas tree', everyone thinks of a tree decorated with beautiful ornaments hiding colourful packages, the contents of which are known only to the people who created them. However, it is worth considering which Christmas tree will fulfil its important function in your home.
Christmas tree - artificial or live?
Many of us face the choice every year of whether our Christmas tree should be artificial or not. It's worth focusing on each of these proposals individually. An artificial tree is a convenient thing, if only in terms of storage and savings. You can store it for years without worrying about its condition. Another advantage is that you do not have to spend money every year, but every few years. One aspect that gives food for thought is the price of such a Christmas tree. When buying an artificial tree, you need to take into account its height, width and even colour. Prices vary from 30 to even 600 PLN, so it's worth getting to know the subject before you start buying.
A live Christmas tree is a completely different story. When you buy this kind of tree, the purchase itself becomes an adventure, because you have to choose one tree from the mass of trees displayed by the seller. In addition, a live Christmas tree needs to be trimmed quite often due to its usually considerable height. The great advantage is the smell of the plant, which certainly adds to the festive mood. In addition, dressing such a Christmas tree is a bit more magical, because we do not take it out of the box and do not have to disassemble its plastic branches one by one, but we are dealing with a live plant. A live Christmas tree is definitely more likely to stay at home longer than an artificial one, as its presence quite often prolongs the family Christmas aura.
What should you ultimately bet on?
Making such a decision is a very individual matter. If you opt for an artificial Christmas tree, you can, for example, choose its colour. This solution is perfect when your home has a certain colour scheme. In addition, a cold silver shade is a quite popular Christmas style lately, and so is the Christmas tree. However, this option is more common in slightly more adult family circles, where you don't necessarily find a lot of children.
A live Christmas tree is a slightly more creative option, as we don't have to stick to a specific colour scheme. Such a Christmas tree is often decorated with baubles bought at different times, or even handmade ones! Importantly, a green living Christmas tree is definitely one of the most distinctive Christmas signs. For this reason, it's hard to give up the traditional tree for an artificial version.
The most important thing in this dilemma is your needs. If you're not spending Christmas at home, but with family, it's worth opting for a synthetic tree, as it won't attract as much attention anyway and will only take up a lot of space. If you want to feel the festive atmosphere one hundred per cent and enjoy even the smallest detail, go for a live Christmas tree. Whatever your choice, we wish you good luck and a Merry Christmas to remember for a long time!
